Workshop: Your Next Elegant Step
By Claudia Arena
Brussels: 28 May 2025
Have you ever wondered what Your Next Elegant Step is, whether in your career, relationships, financial management or just how to make more space for "me time"? Have you dreamed that Life could gently show you the direction you should take, saving you from endless thinking, SWOT analyses and asking suggestions all around you? What if you could imagine Your Next Elegant Step just by having so much fun that it will bypass your brain and emerge from the most unexpected and creative part in you? Wouldn't you be willing to risk an evening of pure enjoyment, remaining open to the fact it could actually happen?
Whether you have a specific topic or you want to let Life suggest what area of your Life you need to explore, the Board Game ‘Your Next Elegant Step offers a playful and yet profound way to explore parts of you that might be blocked by your rational mind.
Through art-therapy techniques, a board and the willingness to explore, Life will invite you to take your next elegant step in a direction that might, or might not, be expected. Are you willing to try?
The game will last one hour and we'll spend 30 minutes debriefing and learning more from it.
About Claudia Arena - EPSILOC Founder and Director
If she were to give a title to the story of her Life Claudia Arena would say: “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans”!
Claudia Arena has been passionate about philosophy of language from a very young age. It was her talent for mathematics, however, that led her parents to persuade her to study physics. And, she gained a PhD in the subject from Cambridge University in 1999.
Following her studies, along with founding a family (she is now a single mother of two wonderful girls who she loves dearly), she worked in not-for-profit organizations and was a mathematics and physics teacher before founding EPSILOC.
As the Founder and Director of EPSILOC she set up an organization with a clear purpose. This is to support people to enjoy little things and find their centers by equipping them with personal development methodologies that open doors to joy, creativity and possibilities.
What brought her to launch EPSILOC?
Despite her academic and professional success, Claudia felt unfulfilled and distraught. Deep down she would have dearly loved to have followed her passion for philosophy of language.
In 2003, she started on a path of her own personal development, to try and understand her dissatisfaction and the choices that lead to her place of discontent. A ‘More to Life’ weekend in South Africa brought a key revelation – she felt unheard by others. And, at the heart of it, it was because she wasn’t listening to herself. Inspired by this precious insight and wanting to be able to share this source of inspiration with others, she obtained her license as a More to Life Coach and as a facilitator for the courses of The Power of Self Esteem and The Power of Purpose in 2009.
Claudia is also a profoundly creative person, with ceramics and writing her closest creative allies.
She says: “Ceramics is my passion and writing is my freedom: through EPSILOC I enable people to find their passion and their freedom.”
