Workshop: Becoming better Humans : Learn Advanced Social Skills Through the Way of the Horse
By Adrienne Lotos
Brussels: 13 September 2023
This workshop will present the learnings we can take away from the observation of horses in nature. You'll learn how their interactions, within a herd, can teach us valuable lessons to improve our lives, better understand ourselves and develop effective skills to manage our social interactions and relationships. Horses teach us the alphabet of non-predatory power, helping us to develop assertiveness, foster creativity, deal with conflict and heighten mind-body awareness. This workshop will blend presentation with exploratory and interactive exercises.
In this workshop you will learn four concepts:
- “Listen to your horse” – Gain enhanced awareness of the present though the body.
- “Space is the place” – Understand how space affects our relationships.
- “Conserving energy for real dangers” – Learn a method for emotional agility and detecting information behind the emotion.
- “Return to grazing” – Learn advanced skills for returning to serenity.
Horses can teach us advanced skills about empathy, social awareness, emotional intelligence, body awareness and non-verbal language. They help us to be in the present moment, to enhance connection with ourselves, to better take care of others, to become more inspiring leaders and to thrive in both personal and professional life.
