Workshop: The Heroine Is Not a Hero
By Alessandra Satta
Brussels: 8 February 2023
*** Please note new venue below ***
More and more often we hear stories of profound dissatisfaction in professional life, especially after the age of forty and especially among women. The cry expresses a sense of aridity and emptiness, a lack of meaning, and a feeling of estrangement or betrayal both in the workplace and in private life. The promise of achievement and advance often leaves women overloaded and overdoing, exhausted, and estranged from themselves. Disappointingly, the vision that they had about success did not include the sacrifice of the body and the soul. What is going on?
In this workshop, we will explore:
- Why the journey of the heroine is different from the journey of a hero.
- What are some major obstacles encountered by the heroine.
- How the embrace of deep feminine principles is crucial also for men and for collective development in general.
The different nature of the female journey needs to be discovered if women are to understand themselves and find their most authentic and creative contribution to the world.
