Workshop: Break Free from Control Freakism and Perfectionism

Are you a perfectionist or a control freak? Do you find yourself always wanting to control everything and not being able to let go?

If any of these signs apply to you, you might be a control freak or perfectionist:

• You refuse to delegate.
• Everything must be to your schedule or timeline.
• Your expectations might at times feel threatened.
• You micromanage others (at work and at home).
• You think there’s only one right way to do something.
• You have trouble trusting people.

Striving for perfection is nothing less than exhausting, but letting go is hard to do. Andy will help you manage your anxiety with some tips he has found helpful as a recovering Overthinker-Control-Freak-Perfectionist.

You can expect to leave the workshop with:

• Awareness and Self-Reflection: Participants will have a better understanding of their control freak and perfectionist tendencies.
• Being able to embrace imperfection: Encouraging a mindset shift towards accepting imperfections and mistakes as opportunities for growth and learning.
• Better Time Management skills: Strategies to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary, reducing the need to control every aspect of a situation.
• Better Boundaries: Learning to set healthy boundaries in personal and professional relationships to prevent overextending oneself.

 

About Andy Whittle

Andy is a friendly, approachable, fully accredited Life and Executive Coach (PCC) and a Wellbeing Trainer. He is really and truly a people person who loves listening to people’s stories and delving deeper into what is possible for people to achieve. He has a wide experience of working with people and has a knack for designing and delivering workshops and running events, combining several of his passions in one go.

Andy is a faculty member of Kingstown Coaching College, an Associate Tutor for Barefoot Coaching, a European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Board member, and has worked at all the main European Institutions and many large and small companies across Europe. He is the co-owner and co-creator of the Imagination Club, a consultant for Talent Interlock. He is also a consultant for the International House Leuven as a career advisor and coach as well as working with individual coaching clients and groups.
