Workshop: Love Letters

By Bess Stonehouse

Brussels: 14 February 2018

Tenderness. This is something we can all say we want to share with our loved ones. Sometimes it's not so easy. Sometimes it's really easy. Sometimes we just forget, other times it's all we think about!! How does sensitivity find an avenue to be, to be safe and warm, to be expressive? How do we lay aside the daily toil of routine to make another person shine with delight even for just a moment, or a lifetime?

One of the paths we can take is love letters.

In this workshop, Bess will present some examples of truly tender missives, letters of hope and courage, letters of individuality, puzzlement, humor. Then we'll experiment with our own expressions, truthful or fantastic, no matter. Tenderness is the goal. On Valentine's Day let's give expression to our feelings, and in our wonderful group, share the love.

About Bess

Bess is a maker of cultural and business solutions. She's had careers in theatre, the circus, fashion, and for the last 15 years as a process and organisational development consultant and trainer. A colorful background provides her with colorful material to help her clients find their ways to improving their work environments and methods. Using examples and practices from literature, art, theatre and improvisation, Bess tailors her interventions to reach the individual truth that is struggling to be recognised and valued by each participant, team, and organisations.

When things go off the rails or simply want to go faster, Bess uses fun and exploration as a practical tool to get teams to YES.  She believes metaphor, imagery, laughs and memories are key to taking chances and making positive change. In a world where Innovation is the new measure of excellence, the most innovative thing one can do...is to be ones creative self.
