How to Do an Imagination Club Workshop

If you have thought about doing a workshop at the Imagination Club, or anywhere else for that matter, but would like to know more about how to plan and run an event, this workshop is for you! We are taking a break from our usual experimental workshop format to run a rather basic workshop about how to do experimental workshops.

Whether you are thinking about doing your first ever workshop or you are an experienced facilitator and would like to hone your skills, there will be something in this workshop for you. You can also expect to pick up some useful tips for making presentations, public speaking and even sales pitches. Jeffrey has used what he has learned from the Imagination Club in doing software demonstrations!

We will look at things like:

  • How to plan a workshop
  • The elements of a workshop
  • Maintaining control of your workshop
  • Doing group-work exercises (always popular)
  • Creative exercises
  • What the heck do Jeffrey and Andy mean by "experimental"?
  • And more


Even if you are an experienced facilitator, we hope you will come along, share your knowledge and pick up a few new tips!

This would also be a good time to ask your own questions and share your own ideas about Imagination Club workshops.
