You are warmly welcome to join the Imagination Club on Wednesday, 8 April at 18h45 for an interactive workshop on:

The impossibility of Perfectionism
A workshop by Carolyn Moody

If you spend your life trying to be perfect you will know how exhausting this can be. You drive yourself to perfection, in the sure knowledge that you will never reach your goals because you keep moving the goal posts. This is demoralising.

Perfectionist rarely spend any time enjoying their achievements, they are too busy chasing the next goal. They fill every waking moment with busyness so they don't have to stop and face their demons. Relaxing their perfectionist standards causes them to feel bewilderingly anxious and stressed.

Being a perfectionist is a form of self-sabotage because you never feel at peace. Your head is full of mind chatter that just won't be quiet. Being a perfectionist can lead to emotional overeating and drinking, and many other forms of self-sabotage.

Perfectionists rarely value themselves very highly, believing that they must continuously prove themselves to be worthwhile and good enough.

The drive for perfection is usually accompanied by feelings of anxiety, stress, emptiness and a need for 'something more'.

But what if you were already perfect, even with all your imperfections? How peaceful would your life be then?

Find out why people become perfectionists and how to accept all parts of yourself to become whole, with nothing to prove.

Carolyn is a Nutritionist, Transformational Coach, published author and Founder of Body Balance® mind and body health programmes.
