Event: Imagination Club Summer Barbecue

Erps-Kwerps: Sunday, 1 August 2021

Come join us for the annual Imagination Club summer barbecue in Erps-Kwerps. It's an opportunity to meet up with fellow Imagination Clubbers, enjoy good food and have stimulating conversations. And, after a seemingly endless lockdown, it's a chance to be with other marvellous people like you.

Two Options

In view of the pandemic, we offer two options regarding the food and drink you bring.

Option 1: If you are comfortable sharing food with others, please bring some food and/or drink (ideally from your home country) to share in a buffet. If you prepare the food yourself, please take extra care to be hygienic in preparing and transporting the food.

Option 2: If you are not comfortable sharing food with others, please bring food and drink only for yourself. This is okay and completely understandable.

In addition any food you bring, the Imagination Club will provide meat, fish and vegetarian things to cook on the grill. If you are bringing food to share, you may bring something to put on the grill too.

Friends, family, sweethearts and children are all very welcome.

The BBQ will be held in the village of Erps-Kwerps, about 18km from central Brussels and 12km from Leuven. Please reply to your invitation email or contact us for the address.

If you'd like a ride to the barbecue, but do not have a car, let us know and we will try and set you up with someone who has a car. If you are driving and have room in your car for additional passengers, please also let us know and we will very likely provide you with lovely passengers.

Alternatively, there are regular trains from Brussels stations. My house (where the barbecue takes place) is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Or, let us know which train you are on and we'll fetch you from the station. The De Lijn 352 bus goes from Kraainem Metro and passes my house.

The barbecue will go ahead rain or shine. There is plenty of space in my house if the weather is uncooperative.

Additional Notes

1. The summer barbecue is restricted to Imagination Club members (in other words you must have come to at least one Imagination Club activity and/or be on our mailing list) and their guests.
2. Please respect social distancing.
3. Please, no dogs.
