Workshop: How to Be the Best Version of Yourself

By Gerry Murray

Brussels: 28 February 2018

The Irish playwright, Oscar Wilde once gave this advice: “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” But, what does it really mean to "be yourself” and is everyone else really “already taken” or could we “borrow” the best bits of other people to create better versions of ourselves?

On their latest album “Songs of Experience", Irish rock band U2 sing the song: “Get out of your own way” and this is often useful advice in (re) discovering your true self.

Pulling together strands from the worlds of neuroscience, psychology and performance, Gerry Murray will lead us on an exploration of how to discover your true self and ultimately be the best version of you!

Bring along something you’d like to explore or work on, a notepad, some imagination and your sense of humour!

About Gerry Murray

Known for his witty and humorous presentation style, Gerry Murray is widely recognised for his expertise in personal development and performance. He has been an avid student of performance since he first walked out on stage as a young boy to play Irish music in his local parish hall. Since those humble beginnings he’s had the privilege of performing his music worldwide to audiences of up to 10,000 people. He has also worked with many small and large private and public sector organisations.

This exploration of performance has led him to train with some of the world’s leading experts in bringing out the best in yourself and others, and he has applied much of what he’s learned to great effect in the world of business and with private clients. Today, Gerry works with Corporate Leaders, Individuals and Teams who want to perform consistently at their best.
